1. Your agreement with lifedrop

By accessing or using lifedrop, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. “lifedrop,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean the operator of the lifedrop service.

2. Using lifedrop

lifedrop helps people remember relationships, learn from people and saved sources, chat with Drop, organise memories and notes, research public people, plan time together, create and exchange digital postcards, and receive optional questions, reminders, login codes, or service messages. Features may differ by device, location, account status, provider availability, or product stage.

You must use lifedrop lawfully and be able to enter into this agreement where you live. lifedrop is not directed to anyone under 13. If local law requires a higher age or parental authorisation, you may use the service only when that requirement is met. If you use lifedrop on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to bind it to these Terms.

3. Accounts and access

Provide accurate information, keep your phone, sign-in details, one-time codes, shared links, and postcard access codes secure, and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. Do not let another person use your verification code. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law says otherwise.

4. Your content and sources

You keep whatever rights you already hold in the photos, videos, writing, drawings, prompts, memories, files, notes, links, and other material you submit. Uploading or linking to someone else’s book, article, image, recording, profile, or other work does not give you or lifedrop ownership of it. You confirm that you have the rights or another lawful basis needed for the way you ask lifedrop to store, process, and share the material.

You give lifedrop a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, extract, adapt, process, transmit, and display your content only as reasonably needed to operate and secure the service; provide source reading, AI, research, and creative results you request; preserve your saved people, notes, plans, and memories; improve the reliability and usability of lifedrop; and deliver or display content to the people you choose. This licence does not give lifedrop permission to sell your content or use private content for a lifedrop general-purpose model-training programme. It ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except where continued retention is technically or legally necessary.

5. Sharing and information about other people

You control whom you address or share a postcard with and whether your profile information is public. Anyone with a valid shared link or code may be able to open the associated content, so send it only to people you trust and avoid publishing it openly unless that is your intention.

People maps, chats, notes, postcards, plans, public-person research, and reminders can include information about friends, recipients, or people who do not use lifedrop. Respect their privacy and other rights. Provide only information you have an appropriate reason to use. Do not add unnecessary sensitive information, impersonate someone, use public information to harass or monitor them, or ask lifedrop to make consequential decisions about them.

6. AI-generated, public-source, and source-assisted content

lifedrop may use AI to understand requests and selected conversation context; read relevant excerpts from supported sources; retrieve and summarise public information; suggest people or connections; and generate text, images, answers, notes, and postcard designs. Results may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased, about the wrong person, similar to other results, or inappropriate for your intended use. You are responsible for reviewing results and deciding whether to rely on, save, or share them.

Do not use AI, research, or source features to violate another person’s rights, mislead people about a real person, bypass access controls, redistribute material without permission, or create unlawful or harmful content. lifedrop does not promise that generated content is unique, factually correct, or eligible for intellectual-property protection.

lifedrop is not an emergency service and does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice. Do not rely on Drop or generated content for diagnosis, urgent safety decisions, or professional decisions. Contact the appropriate emergency service or qualified professional when needed.

7. Service messages, social plans, and reminders

If you opt in or request a message, lifedrop may send login codes, postcard notices, daily questions, account communications, delivery updates, owner reminders, or other actions you request. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive optional messages is not a condition of purchase.

Mentioning another person in a plan and saving their contact details do not authorise lifedrop to contact them. A friend or participant reminder requires your express request for that named person and may require additional confirmation or contact information. Do not authorise a message unless you have an appropriate reason to contact the person. Each participant can decline or opt out, and you must respect that choice.

For SMS in the United States, reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. Other supported channels provide their available opt-out instructions. Delivery depends on carriers and messaging providers, so messages may be delayed, blocked, duplicated, or undelivered.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use lifedrop to:

• Break the law or infringe privacy, data-protection, confidentiality, intellectual-property, publicity, or other rights.
• Harass, threaten, exploit, deceive, impersonate, surveil, profile for harmful purposes, or harm another person.
• Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or messages to someone who has declined or opted out.
• Upload malware or interfere with, probe, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass the service’s security, paywalls, permissions, or access controls, except where law expressly permits it.
• Use automated means that place an unreasonable load on lifedrop, extract other users’ data, or resell the service without permission.
• Submit content or instructions designed to expose private system information, credentials, or another person’s private content.

We may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people, secure lifedrop, investigate abuse, or comply with law. Where appropriate and legally required, we will consider the context and provide notice or a way to contact us.

9. lifedrop materials

lifedrop and its licensors own the service, software, design, branding, and materials we provide, excluding your content and third-party material. These Terms give you a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of lifedrop or its technology.

10. Third-party services

lifedrop relies on or links to third-party services for hosting, databases, authentication, AI, public-source retrieval, messaging, email, push notifications, media, and social platforms. Their availability, terms, and privacy practices may affect the feature you use. lifedrop is not responsible for a third-party service outside our control, but this does not reduce any responsibility we have under applicable law for selecting and using our service providers.

11. Features, changes, and beta services

We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features as lifedrop develops. We will not use a feature change to take ownership of your content or remove rights that applicable law guarantees. If a change materially affects an active paid service in the future, any additional terms presented for that service and applicable consumer law will govern.

12. Availability and responsibility

lifedrop is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep it useful and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent storage, error-free AI or public-source results, or delivery of every postcard, login code, notification, or message. Keep copies of content you cannot afford to lose and verify important information independently.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, lifedrop is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or opportunities arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for intent, gross negligence, personal injury, or any warranty, remedy, consumer right, or other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

13. Ending use

You may stop using lifedrop at any time and may request deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. Stopping messages, deleting individual content, and deleting an account are separate actions. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary because of serious or repeated violations, risk to the service or others, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the service. Rights and obligations that by their nature should survive, including ownership, lawful retention, and applicable liability limits, remain in effect.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as lifedrop or applicable requirements change. We will update the date at the top and provide additional notice when a change is material and notice is required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them only to the extent permitted by law; changes do not apply retroactively where prohibited.

15. Applicable rights and law

These Terms do not choose a governing law or court that takes away mandatory protections available where you live. Any dispute, governing law, or forum is determined by applicable law unless you and lifedrop validly agree otherwise. Before starting formal proceedings, you may contact us so we can try to understand and resolve the issue, but doing so does not limit a legal deadline or remedy.
